PURPOSE:To obtain desired acceleration surely and quickly without requiring particular operation by automatically switching a transmission stage of an auxiliary transmission to the low transmission stage when acceleration state is detected. CONSTITUTION:An axle opening degree sensor 44 for detecting acceleration state is provided, and output from this sensor 44 is pat into a controller 40, and a transmission stage of an auxiliary transmission 4 is automatically switched to the low transmission stage when the auxiliary transmission 4 is set at a high transmission stage by a mode selecting means 41 and acceleration state is detected by the axle opening degree sensor 44. By this, when acceleration force becomes suddenly necessary during the driving in the economic driving mode, it can be automatically switched to the high output mode without requiring particular operation, and desired acceleration force can be obtained surely and quickly.
