PURPOSE:To detect a minute amount of leaked water within a short time, by a water leak testing apparatus equipped with a glass tube, a minute amount adjusting valve provided to the upper end thereof and a connecting valve provided to the lower end thereof. CONSTITUTION:The connecting valve 19 of a water leak testing apparatus is connected to the terminal of the arranged pipe system 25, which is connected to a high place tank 23 through a main valve 24, through a hose 26. In this state, when all valves 27 ... are closed, a water level rises to a position where the water head pressure from the tank 23 and the air pressure in the water leak testing apparatus are balanced. When there is no water level in a glass tube, a minute amount adjusting valve is operated to raise the water level to the glass tube. In the next step, when the valve 24 is closed and water is sealed in the arranged pipe system 25, the water in the arranged pipe system 25 is pressurized by the compressed air in the water leak testing apparatus. The presence or absence of water leak is detected by observing the change of the water level in the glass tube. |
