PURPOSE:To obtain the titled milky lotion for pet, resistant to sedimentation and separation, etc. during storage, by emulsifying an animal oil or fat or vegetable oil using an oligosaccharide compound as an emulsifier. CONSTITUTION:An animal oil or fat solid at room temperature, or a vegetable oil such as almond oil, camellia oil, etc. which has been considered hitherto as a hardly emulsifiable oil, is emulsified by using an oligosaccharide compound prepared from a vegetable raw material, as an emulsifier. For example, 1,000g of water heated at 80 deg.C is mixed with 100g of almond oil, 50g of a 30g/l solution of PVA having a polymerization degree of 500, and a 50% solution of an oligosaccharide compound, and the mixture is stirred for about 60min by a high-speed agitator to obtain a milky lotion. The lotion can be applied to pets without causing undesirable effects such as oxidative discoloration, tangling of the hair, stickiness, hardening of the hair, etc. |
