PURPOSE:To rapidly perform the positioning of an unbalance point, by rotating an object to be measured in a direction of reducing an angle of rotation required until the unbalance point is positioned from a reference point. CONSTITUTION:An object 1 to be measured is rotated by the drive apparatus 3 controlled by a control circuit 2, and unbalance quantity and primary and secondary unbalance points are measured from the unbalance signals detected by detectors 5L, 5R by an unbalance point measuring circuit 6. Next, the object 1 to be measured is subjected to speed reducing control by the control circuit 2 and stamping is applied to the position of the primary unbalance point by a stamper 4 to perform primary positioning work. Thereafter, the object 1 to be measured is rotated to perform secondary positioning. At this time, the voltage V1 corresponding to the angle from the primary unbalance point to the secondary unbalance point is obtained, and the voltage V1 and the voltage V2 corresponding to a predetermined angle are subtracted by a subtracter C2. When an angle of rotation is 180 deg. or less, the output voltage V3 from the subtracter C2 becomes negative and the output of a comparator C4 is set to L to forwardly rotate the article 1 to be measured. Contrarily, when the angle of rotation is 180 deg. or more, the voltage V3 from the subtracter C2 becomes positive and the output of the comparator C4 is set to H to reversely rotate the object 1 to be measured.
