PURPOSE:To suppress the lowering in the capacity of a column, by providing a plurality of liquid flow passages to the column for liquid chromatography. CONSTITUTION:The liquid sent from a pump (not shown) is distributed through a liquid inlet 3 and a branch joint 5 to enter a column main body 1. By providing a plurality of flow passages to the column main body 1, the liquid is allowed to fill the flow passages 2 all at once under equal pressure in an equal flow rate at the time of the filling of the column main body 1 and, therefore, the column main body is uniformly filled as a whole. Since the interior of the column main body 1 is in a uniform state at the time of separation, the flow of the liquid becomes uniform and no lowering in capacity is generated. Since the diameter of the column main body does not become large because of a plurality of the flow passages, the dispersion of the liquid is uniformly performed.
