PURPOSE:To aim at providing common rim core by forming a recessed portion for spoke core in a bar-like form on the one side of a rim core raw material and a recessed portion for spoke core in a plate-like form on the other side and making the one side of the raw material face inside for forming an annular shape so as to form a rim core. CONSTITUTION:A steering wheel is composed of a boss 2, an annular rim portion 3 and a spoke portion 4. The spoke portion 4 is provided with a spoke core 5 in a bar-like form having circular cross section or a spoke core 11 in a plate-like form. In addition, the rim portion 3 is provided with an annular rim core 7, and in this case the rim core 7 is formed with a rim core raw material 7a having substantially a U-shaped cross section, which has a large gap recessed portion 8 opening on one side and a small gap recessed portion 9 opening on the other side respectively. When a spoke core 5 in a bar-like form is attached, the recessed portion 8 is made to face the inner circumferential side, while when a spoke core 8 in a plate-like form is attached, the recessed portion 9 is made to face the inner circumferential side so that the rim core 7 is formed into annular shape respectively.
