PURPOSE:To improve chipping resistance in a refrigerated area by subjecting a steel plate to a specific amount of preplating in a Zn-alloyed electroplating soon. and immersing the same in the alloyed soln. without turning on electricity before subjecting said steel plate to the Zn alloyed electroplating. CONSTITUTION:The steel plate, the surface thereof is ground, is immersed in the Zn-alloyed electroplating soln. and is subjected to the preplating to 0.1-3g/m<2> of electrodeposition ratio. The preplated steel plate is the immersed in said plating soln. without the turning on electricity. Said steel is then subjected to the specific amount of electroplating in the above-mentioned plating soln.
