PURPOSE:To minimize a distance between a sample and an objective lens and to attain observation at a high power by arranging a sample to be observed oppositely to the objective lens in a protection tube arranging in a heating room of a lamp housing and externally heating the sample by an infrared ray lamp in the heating room. CONSTITUTION:The lamp housing is arranged adjacently to the objective lens 6 in a microscope so as to surround the optical axis of the lens 6 and the infrared ray lamp 8 is stored in the heating room 2 formed in the housing 1. The protection tube 9 is inserted into the housing 1 and the heating room 2 rectangularly to the optical axis of the lens 6, the contents of the protection tube 9 is exhausted from a vacuum exhaust port 2 and required gas is charged from a gas inlet port 11. A sample holder 10 holding a sample 14 on its tip is inserted into the protection tube 9 and infrared rays from the lamp 8 are irradiated to the sample 14. The distance between the lens 6 and the sample 14 is minimized and highly efficient between observation can be attained.
