摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a large vibration amplitude by providing a slit type modulating plate arranged in front of an infrared detector, a piezoelectric vibrator as a vibration source, and a mechanical amplitude amplifying mechanism which amplifies the amplitude of the piezoelectric vibrator mechanically and vibrates the modulating plate in the pitch direction of slits. CONSTITUTION:Many slits 1a are arrayed in the slit type modulating plate 1 arranged in front of the infrared detector and the mechanical amplitude amplifying mechanism 3 amplifies the amplitude of the piezoelectric vibrator 2 to vibrate the modulating plate 1 in the pitch direction of the slits 1a. The sizes of the side of the piezoelectric vibrator 2 and the size of the modulating plate 1 to the support shaft 5 of a lever 4 are set to L:2L, and the piezoelectric vibrator 2 and mechanical amplitude amplifying mechanism 3 are provided on both sides of the modulating plate 1 in the pitch direction of the slits 1a. When the piezoelectric vibrator 2 is vibrated, the vibration amplitude obtained by the piezoelectric vibrator 2 is amplified by the mechanical amplitude amplifying mechanism 3 to about twice and the modulating plate 1 is vibrated in the pitch direction of the slits 1a. The ratio of the side of the piezoelectric vibrator 2 and the side of the modulating plate 1 is selected properly and thus the amplification factor can be increased by (n) times. Consequently, a large amplitude which can be obtained by a conventional piezoelectric vibrator is obtained.
