PURPOSE:To prevent damage to a rolled stock and to rolls by installing a block assembling and holding a lower leveler roll and deflector rolls and installing a two-step cylinder shifting the block in the downward direction by two steps. CONSTITUTION:A block 9 vertically moving in the inside of a frame 6 is installed and a two-step cylinder 8 holding a rod 7 in each of an extended, intermediate, and retracted positions is also installed. Further, deflector rolls 12, 13 are installed on the upstream and downstream of the block 9 and a lower level roll 14, deflector roll 16, and leveler roll 18 are fixed on the block 9 through bearings 23-25, respectively. At the time that a joined step part of a rolled stock 19 passes through a leveler 3, the cylinder 8 is positioned at an intermediate position to slightly separate the stock joined part from leveler rolls 14, 15, 18 and the rod 17 is extended after passing of the stock 19. Thus, damage to the stock 19 and to the level rolls is prevented.
