<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate misdetection due to dirt, a lubricant, etc., by arranging a sensor consisting of magneto-resistance elements opposite the cam of a resin magnet having magnetic poles formed and converting variation of a magnetic field into a pulse signal. CONSTITUTION:The cam which rotates interlocking with a steering wheel, etc., uses a cam magnet 4 consisting of the resin magnet having the specific magnetic poles formed, and the sensor 16 which consist of magneto-resistance elements 13 and 13a and pulse generating circuits 14 and 14a and is not affected by the dirt and lubricant is arranged opposite the magnetic pole magnetization part 5. When the cam magnet 4 rotates interlocking with steering wheel operation, the elements 13 and 13a passage in the magnetic field to cause voltage variation, which is converted by the circuits 14 and 14a into the pulse signal and sent to a microcomputer, thereby detecting the rotational angle from the number of pulses and the rotating direction from the phase difference. Thus, a rotational angle detector which is free from misdetection due to the dirt, lubricant, etc., is obtained.</p> |
