PURPOSE:To prevent the obsolescence of a password from being generated and to realize password management with high security, by providing a means which changes the password registered in a storage means. CONSTITUTION:A control device 1 is provided with the functions of a password protecting means and a registering means. After a power source is applied, the input of the password from a keyboard 7 is urged to a display 6, and the password stored in a RAM3 is compared with an inputted password, and an OS stored in an external memory device 8 is read out only when they coincide. The change of the password is performed when a control key is depressed. At this time, the input of a new password is urged on when the inputted password coincides with the password registered already, and the new password is registered in the RAM3 after the RAM3 is cleared. In such way, it is possible to perform the password management of a person who starts up a system at every application of the power source. |
