PURPOSE:To enhance printing quality and image quality, by providing a recording layer which comprises microcapsules having a specified particle diameter and comprising a thermosetting or thermoplastic resin surrounding a liquid paste made of a non-volatile non-drying liquid in which a coloring agent is dispersed or dissolved, an adhesive and a viscosity-controlling material. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer for pressure-sensitive recording is provided on or in a support provided on a base sheet. The recording layer consists of a layer which comprises microcapsules having an average particle diameter of 10-30 mum and comprising an outer wall layer of a thermosetting or thermoplastic resin surrounding a liquid paste made of a non-volatile non-drying liquid in which a coloring agent is dispersed or dissolved, an adhesive and a viscosity- controlling material. The coloring agent is carbon black, iron oxide or the like, while each of the nonvolatile non-drying liquid, the adhesive and the viscosity-controlling agent is preferably castor oil, colza oil or the like. The thermoplastic resin may be a polystyrene resin, acrylic resin or the like, while the thermosetting resin may be a urethane resin, epoxy resin or the like. |
