PURPOSE:To prevent printing from being performed outside the width of a paper, by enabling two tractors to be moved, and providing rotary-type variable resistors having sliding elements rotated according to the positions of the tractors, and a controlling means for detecting the position of a printing paper based on the resistances of the resistors and controlling the position of a printing head. CONSTITUTION:The positions of tractors 10, 11 can be freely selected according to the width of a paper. A printing position can be adjusted by moving the positions of the tractors 10, 11 leftward or rightward. Thus, the positions of the tractors 10, 11 are moved, the positions of the tractors 10, 11 are detected by a controlling means 16 based on the resistance of rotary-type variable resistors 14, 15, and the position of a printing head 17 is controlled by the controlling means 16 based on the positions of the tractors 10, 11, so that printing is prevented from being performed outside the width of the paper. |
