PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the breakage of a building caused by unequal settlement regardless of the magnitude of the settlement by a simplified method in which compressed air is supplied between the foundation beam and the bearing ground to raise the foundation beam. CONSTITUTION:A compressed air is supplied by a compressor 9 from a supply path 7 formed in the foundation beam 2a on the column side to the space between the foundation beam 2 and the bearing ground by dispersing it horizontally in such a way as to raise the beam 2 in relation to the bearing ground. Cement mortar is injected by a pump 16 from the first and second injection paths 11 and 12 formed in the beam 2a on the column side into the space between the bearing ground and the beam 2 in order to correct the settlement of the beam 2 due to unequal settlement. The breakage of building by unequal settlement can thus be easily and quickly prevented by the simplified method.
