PURPOSE:To ensure an accurate test of a drawing reading device by reading the test drawing data stored previously in a memory and sending this data to a host computer via the subsequent circuit parts. CONSTITUTION:When a drawing reading device 8 is tested, a reading device control part 1 gives an instruction to a drawing input part 4 to read out the test drawing data stored in a ROM 3. The read-out drawing data is processed via a drawing processing part 5 and an interface control part 6 and sent to a host computer 7. Thus it is possible to check whether the drawing data supplied via the part 4 is correctly transmitted or not via the parts 5 and 6. As a result, an accurate test is performed for transfer of the test drawing data to the computer 7 regardless of the reading accuracy of a drawing reading part 2.
