PURPOSE:To correct corner folding of a banknote by the use of a bent part at the tip of a correcting rod, by opening and closing a plurality of correcting rods bundled at one point with possibility of opening and closing like bones of an umbrella and pressed to expand outwards. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of correcting rods 1 are bundled by a supporting tool 2 with possibility of opening and closing like bones of an umbrella, and each tip 1c is bent outwards at an obtuse angle to each correcting rod 1, and pressed in the direction of stretching by a spring at an expansion/contraction part 1b provided above. The correcting rods 1 are surrounded by a ring part 3a furnished at a control rod 3b of an opening/closing tool 3. When this ring part 3a is sunk to bundle the correcting rods 1 to be pressed to the surface of banknote 8, the said control rod 3b moves the ring part 3a upwards to allow the correcting rods 1 to spread. In this process, the corner folding 8a of the banknote 8 is spread by the tips 1c to provide flattened banknotes.
