CONTINUOUS PAINTING METHOD FOR STEEL SHEET

PURPOSE:To enable formation of a coated film having uniform constitution by providing a stirrer for rotating flow which generates rotating flow along the plane of a pick up roll perpendicular to the roll shaft and stirrer for parallel flow which generates parallel flow along the longitudinal direction of said roll. CONSTITUTION:A paint tank 5 is constituted of the pick up roll 1 and a gap constituting body 2 as one side face. A paint 6 filled in the tank 5 up to the level higher than the gap between the roll 1 and the gap constituting body 2 is passed between the roll 1 and the body 2 while the paint is uniformly stirred by the composite stirring generated by the stirrer 11 for the rotating flow which stirs the paint by generating the rotating flow nearly along the plane of the roll 1 perpendicular to the roll shaft and the stirrer 12 for the parallel flow which stirs the paint by generating the parallel flow nearly along the longitudinal direction of the roll 1. As a result, a steel sheet 7 is continuously painted by a uniform paint compsn. for a long period of time even if the paint contg. additives of relatively large sp. gr. is used. The coated film having the uniform compsn. is thus formed.
