PURPOSE:To enable a handling work in a warehouse to be conducted smoothly by providing a stopper unit on the edge of a shelf, and then providing a handling equipment, which is composed of a goods receiving pedestal litter with aligning equipment and a carrying-in-and-out conveyor, in such a manner that goods are delivered by a carrying-in-and-out equipment between the shelf and the handling equipment. CONSTITUTION:At the time of carrying-in of goods to a warehouse, a stopper 31 in a stopper unit 23 is put in its working position, and a lifter frame 45 is put in its descending position, and then, a conveyor 14 is driven forward so that the goods 56 are carried in by means of a pallet 57 until it strikes the stopper 31. Subsequently, the lifter frame 45 is caused to ascend, and the pallet 57 is supported on a goods receiving pedestal 42 so that it is located by means of a locating guide 52A. After that, a carrying-in-and-out equipment 4 is located face to face with an asigned shelf 1 by means of a travelling means 6 and a lifting pedestal 8, and then, the pallet 57 loaded with the goods 56 is stored on the shelf 1 by means of a sending-in-and-out appliance 9. Delivery of goods from the warehouse is performed by reversing the order as mentioned above. By virtue of this constitution, the goods can be sent in and out under their accurate positioning and their correct attitude so that the handling work can be conducted smoothly.
