PURPOSE:To eliminate blown flames and an accidental fire even when the load to a boiler is low and in other cases and make it possible to specialize in using pulverized coal by storing temporarily super-fine powder coal obtained by pulverizing coal into fine powder and supplying it to a pulverized coal burner during the load to the boiler is low. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized coal out of a pulverized coal machine 4' comes out of a drive shaft 14 and is blown up. Then it is sorted into super-fine powder coal in a high performance sorting machine 13, and the solid matter and gases are separated in a cyclone separator 16 and the coal is stored in a super-fine powder bin 7. Then only when the level in the super fine powder bin 7 is lower than a specified value, a system of the pulverized coal machine 4 is operated. Now if the load to a boiler reaches near the lowest load, the super-fine powder coal is supplied to a mixing T section 10 via a super-fine powder coal machine 8 and rotary seal 9. In this system a burner can have an annular double construction and the super-fine powder coal and normal pulverized coal can be supplied on the same burner with dual flow. With this the radiation heat in the burner can be efficiently utilized by the super-fine powder coal even if the temperature in the furnace and combustion air temperature and so on fall, and it is possible to form stable flames and lower the minimum load.
