PURPOSE:To vary vibration strength, by a method wherein, in a feeder for conveying a powder material and the like, a magnet is mounted to a leaf spring, and a suction force and resiliency are exerted between the magnet and an electromagnet rotated at a variable speed. CONSTITUTION:When a given impressed voltage is applied on an electromagnetic 9 to charge a winding with a current and the electromagnet is rotated at a given speed, a suction force and resiliency are generated at a given period between a magnet 8 and the electromagnet 9, and a leaf spring 5 for vibration is vibrated at given amplitude and frequency. In this case, by varying the intensi ty of an impressed voltage on the electromagnet 9, the amplitude of vibration can be varied. Further, by varying the rotation speed of the electromagnet 9, vibration frequency can be varied. This constitution enables arbitrary setting vibration strength by varying the amplitude and frequency of vibration.
