PURPOSE:In an apparatus for coating continuous filaments with a conductive material, to shorten the length of the coating apparatus, by setting the transferring direction of the continuous fibers to cross the direction of a resin flow perpendicularly or obliquely. CONSTITUTION:A crosshead 3 is placed in such a way that it can cross the transferring direction of the continuous fibers perpendicularly or obliquely. A resin, short fibers, a conductive material and so on are put in a hopper 6 and heated and molten by a heater 7 while they are being kneaded by means of a screw of an extruder 1. They are then extruded into the crosshead 3 from a nozzle. In the crosshead 3 which is set in a direction oblique or perpendicular to the transferring direction of the filaments 4, the filaments 4 introduced from the top are coated with the molten resin and cooled by means of a cooler 8 to obtain a molding. As the crosshead 3 crosses the transferring direction of the filaments 4 perpendicularly or obliquely, the length of the apparatus becomes shorter and many crossheads can be set in parallel. |
