A method for preparing nutrition-enriched foods from a softshelled turtle comprises (a) starving a live turtle for 2 days at least to provide the purified turtle, (b) quick-freezing them by immersing into the liq. N2 of -196≦̸C and crushing the trozen turtle to about 1cm cubics, (c) sterilizing the crude crushing together with an antioxidant using a HTSTP method, (d) lyophilizing the sterilized crushing to be > 4% moisture, (e) refreezing the dried crushing and triturating them with flushing N2 gas of >-50≦̸C to provide the fine powders of >200 mesh. The powder contains 2.8 moisture, 53.3 protein, 24.9 lipid, 0.2 cellulose, 16.6 Ash and 2.27% sugars, and can be formulated in capsules, granules and tablets. |
