PURPOSE:To obtain a water-soluble lubricating oil composition, containing a polyoxyalkylene alkylamine salt of a specific long-chain fatty acid having excellent load resistance and useful for hydrous type hydraulic fluid, metal working oil, etc. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble lubricating oil composition containing 1-50wt%, preferably 5-30wt% polyoxyalkylene alkylamine salt of a long-chain fatty acid expressed by the formula (R<1> is 7-23C alkyl or alkenyl; R<2> is 1-5C alkyl; AO is oxyethylene or blend thereof with oxypropylene; m is 0, 1 or 2; n is 2-300). The above-mentioned amine salt is obtained by adding ethylene oxide (and propylene oxide) to alkanolamines or alkylamines in the presence of a caustic alkali catalyst at 80-160 deg.C while pressurizing, blending and stirring the resultant polyoxyalkylene alkylamines with a long-chain fatty acid. |
