PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for operation test to that corresponding to one storage module by simultaneously performing read and write operations of all of plural storage modules at the time of testing the operation of the storage device. CONSTITUTION:A testing indication means 7 which sends the signal indicating that the operation test is being performed, a data comparing means 12, and an incoincident module indicating means are provided. Data written in plural storage modules 1-1-1-N by an all module writing means are inputted as read data to the data comparing means 12, and the means 12 compares these read data and outputs an error signal and comparison results in case of disaccord of read data, and the incoincident module indicating means 13 indicates incoincident storage modules on the basis of comparison results from the data comparing means 12. At the time of testing the operation of the storage device, write and read operations are simultaneously performed for plural storage modules 1-1-1-N. Thus, the time required for test is shortened to that corresponding to one module.
