PURPOSE:To execute algorithm speedily with efficiency by providing a processor which outputs polling data for a reference position candidate value and determines the degree of matching with a reference position with the number of polls. CONSTITUTION:Processors 10 are arrayed in two dimensions and have data transfer links to adjacent processors through signal lines 101-104. The processors 10 are put in charge of coordinates or areas where there is an input image and perform preprocessing for finding representative points; when the representative points are found, the vectors of the representative points to the reference point are extracted by a reference table and reference point candidate positions from the respective representative points are found. Then, polling data indicating that the reference point candidate to the processors which control the positions of the candidate points or areas including them are found, and the respective processors 10 totalize polls and determines a candidate point which reaches the number of representative points as a reference point. Consequently, graphic matching processing is fast and simple in terms of software.
