PURPOSE:To enable the indicating characteristics of a measuring gage to be easily changed by constituting it such that inputted quantity is arithmetically processed by a system determined in advance, electrifying direction and time to cross coils are determined and pulse signals at a prescribed potential are inputted to the cross coils. CONSTITUTION:A measuring gage driving system is composed of a CPU 8 and switch circuit units 9x and 9y. Input signals (a) from an object to be measured are inputted to the CPU 8, which outputs electrifying direction signals alphaand beta and electrifying time signals A and B to input them to the switch circuit units 9x and 9y, respectively. The circuit units 9x and 9y are connected to cross coils X and Y, respectively. The CPU 8 controls the electrifying direction and quantity of driving current inputted to the coils X and Y on the basis of a predetermined processing technique. Receiving the input signals from the object to be measured, the driving current of the cross coils is controlled by the suitably arithmetically processed electrifying signals. Accordingly, any of indicating characteristics can be easily changed.
