<p>NEW MATERIAL:A peptide consisting of a part of an amino acid sequence of a gene product coded by a cancer gene. USE:An antigen for the production of an antibody specific to cancer protein and a reagent for the diagnosis of cancer by determining cancer protein or its antibody. PREPARATION:The objective peptide can be produced e.g. by (1) protecting amino group of C-terminal amino acid by solid-phase synthesis, (2) bonding the amino acid to an insoluble carrier such as chloromethylated resin through the carboxyl group of the amino acid, (3) reacting the product with an amino group-protected amino acid in the presence of a condensation agent according to the amino acid sequence of the objective peptide, (4) removing the amino- protecting group, (5) repeating the steps 3 and 4 (stepwise process) to obtain a peptide resin and (6) treating the resin e.g. with hydrogen fluoride, etc., to separate the objective peptide from the insoluble carrier.</p> |
