PURPOSE:To obtain a soil improving agent, consisting essentially of chitosan, having excellent ability to form aggregates as well as degradability without causing phytotoxicity even when used for many years. CONSTITUTION:A soil improving agent consisting essentially of chitosan. The chitosan may be directly used but an extender, diluent, etc., are preferably added to formulate the chitosan into solution, granule, dust, etc. A fertilizer ingredient, e.g. sodium nitrate, urea, etc., may also be contained. The soil improving agent is particularly sprayed on upland field in vinyl houses and may be sprayed on paddy field. The application amount thereof is preferably 0.0025-0.1%. |
