PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an apparatus by constructing it such that a tray and an arm device are positioned in X and Y axis directions, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A tray 2 is supported by the base 1 of an auto-sampler body so as to be movable in X axis direction. Sample cups S are arranged on the upper surface of the tray 2 in matrix. An arm device 3 is hung so as to be movable along a running rail 4 in Y axis direction. A nozzle device 5 is supported by the arm device 3 so as to be movable up and down in Z axis direction. When a sample cup S34 is specified from a keyboard, the arm device 3 moves in the Y axis direction to be positioned above the third sample cup row. Subsequently, the tray 2 moves and the third sample cup column in positioned just below the arm device 3, resulting in that the arm device 3 is relatively positioned just above the cup S34. Thus, access time and the size of an apparatus can be reduced. |
