PURPOSE:To impregnate a matrix with an electrolyte by means of a rising temperature in operation of this cell by slurrying electrolyte powder with alcohol before the assembling of a fuel cell and coating the matrix with this slurry. CONSTITUTION:Electrolyte powder is mixed with alcohol and formed into slurry, and a matrix 1 is coated with this slurry and dried so that an electrolyte film 8 is formed. An anode electrode 2, a cathode electrode 3, gas separation plates 6, 6a, and the like are disposed so as to put the matrix 1 between them, and so a fuel cell 10 is assembled. The electrolyte is molten and impregnated into the matrix 1 by means of a rising temperature in operation of the fuel cell 10. |
