PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having a rapid development property to which processing stability such as sensitivity and gradient is increased, even in case of processing the titled material with a color developer which does not contain benzyl alcohol by incorporating a silver halide particles contg. >=80mol% silver chloride and a specific spectral sensitizing dye to a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The titled material contains the silver halide particles contg. >=80mol% silver halide and the spectral sensitizing dye to at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer. At least one layer of the photographic constituting layer contains a water soluble chloride, and the total amount of the water soluble chloride is 15-50mol% per the amount of the silver halide which is contained in the same layer to that contg. the spectral sensitizing dye shown by formula I wherein X1-X4 are each hydrogen or halogen atom, alkyl, alkoxy, aryl or hydroxy group, R1 and R2 are each alkyl group, X<-> is a pair anion, (n) is 0 or 1. Thus, the rapid processing of the titled material is made possible, and the processing stability thereof can be increased. |
