PURPOSE:To obtain the titled high-quality copolymer at low cost without any pretreatment such as addition or crosslinking accelerator, by irradiating ionizing radiation on an ethylene copolymer made by copolymerization between ethylene and a polymer from double bond-contg. monomer, etc. to effect crosslinking. CONSTITUTION:The objective copolymer can be obtained by irradiating pref. 0.5-10Mrad of an ionizing radiation on an ethylene copolymer made by copolymerization between (A) ethylene and (B) a polymer from double bond- contg. monomer (pref. polydiene with a number-average molecular weight <=5,000) and/or a monomer copolymerizable with ethylene (pref. vinyl acetate) to effect crosslinking.
