PURPOSE:To increase the data transfer speed without extending the area of a semiconductor chip by providing a positive feedback bus driving circuit for a bus line which a semiconductor integrated circuit device has. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted to include a CPU 1, a memory device 2, peripheral controllers 3-5, a bus line 6 where a data bus, an address bus, and a control bus are collected, and a positive feedback bus driving circuit 7 provided with a level detecting circuit 61 which detects the level of the bus line 6, a level amplifying circuit 62, and a bus driving circuit 63. The data transfer speed on the bus line 6 is not dependent on the bus driving circuit 63 in a function block which drives the bus line 6 but is dependent on only the positive feedback bus driving circuit 7. Consequently, the data transfer speed on the bus line is increased without minimizing the extension of the area of the semiconductor chip if the circuit 7 is most suitably designed.
