PURPOSE:To obtain a gelatinous composition forming stable gel, having excellent feeling in use free from greasiness, by blending an anionic high polymer compound with a polyglycerin (derivative). CONSTITUTION:(A) An anionic high polymer compound such as polyacrylic acid, sodium alginate or carboxymethyl cellulose is blended with (B) a polyglycerin (preferably one having 2-200, especially 2-20 polymerization degree) and/or a polyglycerin derivative such as polyglycerin fatty acid ester, adduct of polyglycerin or fatty acid ester thereof and polyoxyalkylene, etc. The blending amounts of both the components are 0.1-10wt%, especially 0.5-3.0wt% based on sum of the composition of the component A and 20-80wt%, especially 40-70wt% component B. The composition has excellent heat insulating properties as a skin cosmetic or drug and improved wet gloss imparting effects on hair as a hair cosmetic. |
