PURPOSE:To enlarge the degree of freedom for the setting of speed change characteristic, by carrying out speed change control by selecting any of stored speed change stages in the control region designated in correspondence to the vehicle speed, throttle valve opening. CONSTITUTION:The outputs from a vehicle speed sensor 31 and an accelerator sensor 803 which detects the opening of a throttle valve are input into an electronic control unit 800 corresponding to a storing means, a control region designating means, and a speed-change stage selecting means. In the one control region designated in correspondence to the vehicle speed and the valve opening of the throttle valve, it is allowed to take any of set speed-change stages. Thus, since the speed change characteristic can be optionally set by adjusting the speed change stages allowed in the control region, the degree of freedom for the setting of speed change characteristic can be enlarged. |
