PURPOSE:To make the automatic transmission compact in its axial direction and reduce the noise, by constructing the automatic transmission by a single planetary gear unit and a dual planetary gear unit, and integrally forming a carrier and a sun gear. CONSTITUTION:A planetary gear unit section 51 is constituted of a single gear unit 2 and a dual gear unit 3. The single gear unit 2 comprises a sun gear S1, a ring gear R1 and a carrier CR1. The dual gear unit 3 comprises the sun gear S1, a ring gear R2, a first pinion P1 and a carrier CR2. The sun gear S1 is integrally formed with a hollow shaft 53, and the carrier CR1 is also integrally formed therewith. The first pinion P1 is an integral long pinion. Accordingly, an automatic transmission mechanism 101 effects forward and reverse speed positions and transmits an output by the operation of clutches C1 and C2 and stopper means B1, B2 and F1. |
