PURPOSE:To change file attribute even after the file is allocated by providing a file attribute definition changing means and a specific file attribute information merging means. CONSTITUTION:A file attribute definition register means 4 adds and registers a file attribute definition name 5a to the file attribute definition information 5 which changes the file attribute used when a program 1 gives an access to a file 12. A file allocating means 6 produces the file allocation information 8 to designate the name 5a and allocates the file declared in a program to an actual file. A file attribute definition changing means 7 changes the information registered once. Then a file attribute information merging means 9 merges the information 5, the information 8 and the information 2 on the file declared in the program for production of the file access information 10.
