PURPOSE:To prevent the troubles caused by the breakage of sliver in starting and the sagging of sliver in stopping, by interlocking a front roller and a drum positioned parallel to the roller using a cone pulley and a belt and horizontally placing a wound sliver on the drum to make the contact pressure freely adjustable. CONSTITUTION:A drum 17 is placed parallel to a front roller 4 and the both components are interlocked with each other with cone pulleys 18, 19 and a belt 20 movable along axial direction and the surface speed of the front roller and the drum is adjusted to a prescribed level. A wound sliver 8 is horizontally placed on the drum 17 under controllable contact pressure. The start and stop of the delivery of the sliver 9 of the wound sliver are synchronized to the start and stop of the apparatus to enable forced control of the delivery and, at the same time, the tension of the sliver is maintained constantly at an adequate level. |
