Gyroscope 1 with high angular deflection capacity, comprising an annular rotor 14 surrounding the pivotal point 11 of the gyroscope, having on the outside at 15 substantially the shape of a spherical zone and being magnetised along a constant diametral direction; and a stator 4 surrounding the rotor and including at least one pair of diametrically opposite coils 16 for starting and sustaining the rotation of the rotor, at least one pair of sensors 17 each associated with one of the coils 16, and voltage switching means controlled by the sensors in order to switch the voltage powering the two coils for the rotation of the rotor, and an annular precession-control winding 18 in the shape of a spherical zone, substantially coaxial with the axis A of the gyroscope and interposed between the aforementioned coils 16 and the rotor 14. <IMAGE>
