The invention relates to a device having the object of eliminating the blind spots on laterally metal-panelled vehicles. It is made up of a casing 1 enclosing the following components: a wide-angle lens 2, on its optic axis there is located either a mirror 3 arranged obliquely, or a prism exhibiting the same reflection characteristics. The whole unit is mounted on a hollowed-out base 4 which can be stuck onto the rear door glass of the vehicle to be equipped. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for eliminating blind spots on small utility-type vehicles. <IMAGE>
