PURPOSE:To produce a polyurethane little in restriction of molding conditions, by reacting a polyisocyanate with a specified active hydrogen compound. CONSTITUTION:A modified polyol is obtained by polymerizing 1-50pts.wt. ethylenically unsaturated monomer (e.g., acrylic acid) in 100pts.wt. mixture of 100pts.wt. polyether polyol of a hydroxyl value of 15-100 with 0.5-60pts.wt. polyamine of any one of formulas I-IV (wherein R is H, a 1-4C alkyl and/or an electron-withdrawing group, n is 1-3, X is a direct bond or a bivalent group such as a 1-10C alkylene, thio or seleno, m is 0 or a positive number, and Y is a trivalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group). A polyisocyanate is reacted with an active hydrogen compound containing said modified polyol in the presence of, optionally, a catalyst, a blowing agent and other additives to obtain a (non) cellular polyurethane of a total density >=0.6g/cm<3>.
