PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency by recognizing a wire starting point by a signal stored in advance to impress the voltage thereon and checking a short-circuited current value when a wire finishing point is detected and then, stopping a robot main body. CONSTITUTION:The starting point and the finishing point of a wire 7 are stored in a storage part 21 in advance. Next, the wire 7 is returned to the starting point and the robot main body 1 is operated automatically. When the wire 7 attains the finishing point, the robot main body detects a short-circuited current and further, a voltage control means 22 is actuated to stop the impression of the voltage. The work can be carried out effectively by the titled device with this constitution.
