The method for dewatering and/or draining of ground uses a drainpipe (8) in which a vacuum is maintained down which the water is discharged. The vacuum is created and maintained by a centrifugal air-ventilator (3). The construction has a water-air separator (2) with, at the top, the centrifugal air-ventilator and a piston pump. The pump is connected with a pipe for discharging the withdrawn water (6) while the water-air separator is connected with a main pipe (7) on which the drainpipes are connected.
