In order to be able to insert a handle-free chewable teeth cleaning device (1) into the mouth without direct contact by the fingers and to remove it again, a holder is provided which has a holding part (2) for the manual gripping of the holder and a seat (5, 6) for the teeth cleaning device. These parts are shaped in such a way that the teeth cleaning device (1) can be removed from its seat directly by the teeth and, after use, can be placed back on said seat again.
