PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a panel and a connecting body, by forming first and second opening parts in a resin layer in a region contacting an electrode of a display panel, providing electrical connection only through one opening part, thereby absorbing stress applied on a flexible substrate through the other opening part. CONSTITUTION:A light hardening insulating film resin 6 is applied on an electrode 2 of a display panel 1. First and second opening parts 11 and 12, which are formed in a resin layer 4 on a flexible substrate 3, are aligned with an extending lead 15 and the electrode 2 of the display panel 1. The lead 15 in the opening part 11 in the electrode region of the display panel is compressed 21 with a compressing jig 20. Ultraviolet rays 22 are projected. The light hardening insulating resin is expanded with the compression and positioned at a periphery 6' of remaining parts 13 and 14 of the resin layer 4 and a region 6' at the end part of the display panel 1. When the hardening of the light hardening insulating resin is finished, the compressing jig 20 is removed. The electrode 2 of the display panel and the lead 15 of the felxible substrate 3 are mechanically held with the light hardening insulating resin and electrically bonded at the same time. |
