<p>In a method of arranging an empty bobbin (30) to a tube exchange position corresponding to each spindle (9) by introducing sequentially peg trays (5) supporting therein the empty bobbin (30) from one of the ends of a machine base (1) onto peg tray transfer rails (13, 19) disposed along a line of large number of spindles (9) for a textile machine such as a ring spinning frame on which the spindles (9) are juxtaposed in the longitudinal direction of the machine base (1), then repeating the transfer operation which provides reciprocating movement of a predetermined stroke to the transfer rails (13, 19) and moving forward intermittently the peg trays (5), this invention provides a method of locating an empty bobbin characterized in that the transfer operation of the transfer rails (13, 19) described above is effected at least once immediately before the start of the tube exchange operation by the tube exchange devices (26, 27, 28) in order to correct the position error of an empty bobbin (30) introduced by influences such as oscillation of the machine base (1).</p> |
