<p>A device for receiving, assembling, transporting and positioning one or several dry, previously-soaked or wet flexible, flat workpieces has a base plate (3) and parallel needle bars (20) with downward slanted needles that almost cross each other. The piercing movement is effected only in the direction of the needles and the piercing depth can be manually set depending on the thickness of the workpiece material or according to predetermined values in such a manner that the piercing depth is displayed. The device is preferably rectangular and is suitable for chain-like arrangements. It is particularly appropriate for incorporating or integrating measurement sensors and controllers. Flushing ducts are disclosed for automatically cleaning the device.</p> |
