In known fire cassettes, the inserted pane is relatively small. The aim of the invention is to produce a window which is as large as possible. This aim is achieved in that the front-door frame is constructed from a T-section arranged with the web in the direction of the fire chamber, and the window is inserted from web to web of the T-section. The new fire cassette is suitable for all types of open fireplaces.
