The subject of the present invention relates to a hydraulic feed device by means of fixed displacement pumps and accumulators, which from economic standpoints is suited to the hydraulic feed requirements of CVT gearboxes and automatic gearboxes. The excess delivery quantities unially occurring in the upper operating speed ranges with fixed delivery pumps designed for the lowest operating speed ranges and the resulting losses are avoided in that, in excess delivery operating ranges, the pump is exposed to the operating pressures or accumulator pressures only intermittently in accumulator charging phases. An essential feature of the invention and a useful effect thereby obtainable lies in the fact that a charging pressure control is arranged, which meters the charging pressure as a function of the consumer pressure, so that control and restriction losses, which conventionally occur when supplying consumers from accumulators with a significantly higher charge pressure level, are prevented or reduced. To a large extent therefore, only that output required for consumers under operating pressure is demanded of the pump drive.
